About the Role

You will maintain the reliability, performance, and capacity of production storage systems. You will build monitoring and automation, resolve incidents, deploy storage configurations, diagnose hardware and network issues, and participate in on-call support.

Requirements

• 5+ years operating Linux systems in production or HPC environments
• Hands-on storage experience at scale with scale-out or software-defined platforms
• Experience operating software-defined storage platforms and integrating with management and data-plane APIs
• Experience with incident response
• Experience with monitoring and logging platforms
• Experience with Kubernetes and GitOps tooling
• Experience with CI/CD tooling, containerization, and Python or Go
• Experience with Terraform and Ansible
• Understanding of file, object, block, and structured storage protocols

Responsibilities

• Own reliability, performance, and capacity health for the production storage fleet
• Build and maintain storage monitoring, dashboards, and alerting
• Investigate and resolve storage incidents using telemetry, logs, and profiling
• Automate ticketing, escalation, and incident-response workflows
• Design self-healing automation for storage failures and capacity rebalancing
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for storage tooling
• Automate deployment and configuration of software-defined storage
• Diagnose low-level I/O and network issues
• Participate in the storage on-call rotation
