About the Role
You will review code and system designs, identify potential attack paths, conduct red-team exercises and penetration tests, and help remediate vulnerabilities. You will build security tooling and automation, continuously test applications, support third-party reviews, and educate engineers on secure coding practices.
Requirements
- Software engineering experience with a security background
- Programming experience in Go, Rust, or Java
- Professional security experience in fintech, banking, payments, crypto, or a similar financial technology environment
- Hands-on red-teaming and penetration-testing experience
- Understanding of attacker tools, techniques, and software vulnerability exploitation
- Ability to own security issues from identification through remediation
- Communication skills to explain security issues clearly
Responsibilities
- Review platform and product code to identify security vulnerabilities and potential attack paths
- Conduct red-team exercises and penetration tests across applications and systems
- Identify, investigate, and help remediate security vulnerabilities
- Review code and system designs from a security perspective
- Write and contribute to internal security tools, libraries, and automation
- Continuously test internal and external applications for vulnerabilities
- Educate engineers on secure coding and security practices
- Stay current on relevant threats, vulnerabilities, and attack techniques
- Assist with third-party application security reviews and penetration tests
