About Tools for Humanity
Tools for Humanity is a technology company founded in 2019 and headquartered in San Francisco and Munich. It builds and operates services including World ID App and World App, which provide interfaces for creating and using World ID, accessing Mini Apps, and managing digital assets through a self-custodial wallet. It also develops the Orb and Orb Mini proof-of-human hardware and software, using encrypted iris-imaging processes and open-source components, and leads design and planning for World Spaces.
Skills
About the Role
You will analyze logs and security events from cloud services (especially AWS) to detect and respond to intrusion activity against cloud-deployed APIs and identity services. You will design and implement tamper detection and security measures for Linux-based hardware devices, review embedded firmware and hardware schematics, and integrate cryptographic and PKI protections. You will develop detection rules, automated response playbooks, and tooling to scale defense across distributed devices. You will participate in an on-call rotation, perform incident handling, and work cross-functionally with engineering teams to reach consensus security and privacy solutions.
