About the Role
You will lead foundational research on open foundation models for scientific use cases. You will develop training pipelines, curate high-quality data, investigate agentic and multimodal training, oversee research software, publish findings, and build collaborations with relevant organizations.
Requirements
- PhD-level foundation in artificial intelligence, machine learning, or a related domain
- Significant experience building and training modern foundation models
- Experience developing training pipelines
- Experience curating high-quality training data
- Expertise in agentic training
- Experience with multimodal data
Responsibilities
- Define and conduct groundbreaking research
- Lead small research teams
- Develop and oversee research software systems
- Author and present scientific papers and presentations
- Build collaborative relationships with academic, industrial, government, and standards organizations
