About the Role
You will own a core trading surface of Strium and ship its v1 in partnership with engineering, risk, and market-making partners. You will define product strategy and specifications, interface with market makers and high-volume traders, drive listings and risk parameters, establish product metrics, assess competitors, and help expand the exchange into lending, hedging, and structured products.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of product management experience
- 2+ years shipping product at an orderbook trading venue
- Experience working on a trading or exchange team
- Experience owning a roadmap with market makers and institutional traders
- Fluency in trader vocabulary including funding, basis, skew, taker, maker, ADL, oracle slippage, and latency-sensitive flow
- Familiarity with liquidation engines, insurance funds, cross-margin, isolated-margin, funding rates, and mark price construction
- Active trading of perpetuals with non-trivial volume
- Experience shipping in pre-product-market-fit environments
- Excellent written communication
- Ability to communicate with engineers and external trading partners
- Technical fluency and ability to read code
Responsibilities
- Own product strategy and the v1 specification for a core trading surface
- Act as the primary product interface to market makers and high-volume traders
- Translate trader input into specifications
- Drive the listings pipeline end to end
- Define markets to list, timelines, and benchmark venues
- Set leverage caps, tick and lot size, funding cap, oracle source, and margin requirements
- Coordinate engineering, risk, and market-making readiness for launches
- Partner with engineering on the matching engine, risk engine, and API contracts
- Define and track product success metrics
- Build and maintain competitive intelligence for the exchange
- Write specifications, RFCs, and market-maker briefs
- Interface with institutional and incumbent-finance counterparties
- Contribute to lending, hedging, basis-trade, and structured-product surfaces
