About the Role

You will shape intuitive, engaging, and emotionally resonant experiences that help readers and writers connect through storytelling and community. You will work from discovery through implementation and iteration across web, iOS, and Android, communicate design rationale, improve the design system, champion accessibility, mentor designers, and use AI-powered tools to enhance design workflows.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product design experience with a portfolio demonstrating craft and intentional decision-making across complex workflows.
• Experience independently driving design processes from discovery through launch.
• Experience partnering with cross-functional teams to shape product direction and align priorities.
• Cross-platform design experience across web and iOS.
• Experience working with and contributing to design systems.
• Experience leading user research and translating insights into product decisions that improve outcomes and experience quality.
• Proficiency in Figma and collaborative tools.
• Experience using AI tools to support design workflows.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Product Managers, Engineers, and Researchers to uncover user needs and design seamless storytelling and community experiences.
• Communicate design rationale to align teams around customer needs, product vision, and business goals.
• Own the end-to-end design process across web, iOS, and Android from discovery through implementation and iteration.
• Mentor designers, facilitate critiques and workshops, share best practices, and evolve design processes.
• Create scalable, consistent design-system patterns and collaborate with engineers to improve implementation quality.
• Apply accessibility standards and advocate for inclusive experiences.
• Use AI-powered design tools to improve quality, accelerate workflows, and identify product-innovation opportunities.
