About the Role
You will evaluate the performance of trading desks and digital product lines and ensure the accuracy of financial reporting. You will deliver P&L reporting on regular cadences, verify and reconcile trading positions, lead independent price verification, and manage compensation accruals. You will identify inefficiencies and collaborate with Engineering and Data teams to automate reporting workflows. You will maintain and operate a robust internal control framework for trade lifecycle events and accounting policies, and advise traders and portfolio managers on margin trends and capital requirements.
Requirements
- 5–8 years experience in product control middle office or audit within a financial institution fintech crypto or investment banking
- Experience working with revenue producing trading businesses
- Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets
- Experience with programming languages and familiarity with AI is beneficial
- Strong understanding of financial products such as derivatives fixed income and digital assets
- Bachelor's degree in Finance Accounting or Economics
- Professional designations such as CPA CFA or ACCA are a major plus
Responsibilities
- Deliver daily weekly monthly and quarterly profit and loss reporting
- Provide deep dive commentary on P&L drivers including market movements costs and new trade activity
- Verify and reconcile trading positions and digital asset records
- Lead independent price verification against market data
- Manage compensation accruals and adjust as P&L evolves
- Identify inefficiencies and collaborate with Engineering and Data teams to automate workflows
- Maintain internal control framework and manage accounting policy for valuations and revenue recognition
- Advise traders portfolio managers and senior finance leadership on margin trends and capital requirements
