About the Role
You will own synthesis, timing convergence, and implementation readiness for assigned ASIC partitions. You will develop constraints and synthesis flows, optimize QoR, close timing, provide RTL feedback, coordinate with implementation partners, and improve methodology through automation and AI-enabled engineering tools.

Responsibilities
- Own synthesis for assigned partitions and subsystems.
- Develop and improve synthesis flows, constraints, timing budgets, QoR optimization, and hierarchical implementation.
- Define and apply synthesis signoff criteria.
- Run synthesis using Cadence Genus and Synopsys Design Compiler or equivalent tools.
- Develop and maintain SDC constraints, clocks, timing paths, and MMMC environments.
- Track and improve synthesis QoR.
- Drive logical timing closure across frequency, area, power, congestion, and wireability.
- Analyze timing bottlenecks and contribute to chip-level timing budgets.
- Resolve timing risks with architecture and RTL engineers.
- Partner on physical-aware synthesis, retiming, register balancing, pipeline optimization, and logic restructuring.
- Provide implementation-focused RTL feedback.
- Collaborate with engineering functions, IP providers, and backend partners.
- Review QoR, timing, and area reports with external implementation partners.
- Apply AI tools to timing analysis, QoR regression, constraint generation, debugging, report analysis, and automation.
