About the Role

You will develop and maintain photonic PDK component libraries, layout-versus-schematic decks, and device-extraction flows. You will synchronize layouts, netlists, and behavioral models; resolve verification mismatches; implement regression testing and CI pipelines; and collaborate on tape-outs and other automation projects.

Requirements

• Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Photonics, or a related field
• Experience performing physical layout using foundry-provided PDKs
• Experience with photonics layout
• Python-based layout experience
• Object-oriented programming experience
• Experience with NumPy and SciPy
• Experience with Python, SVRF, Tcl, Bash, and SKILL
• Knowledge of integrated photonic devices, analog devices, and parasitics
• Knowledge of foundry processes including SOI, etching, implants, and metal stacks
• Proficiency with Linux, Git, and software engineering best practices
• Problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python-based photonic PCell libraries
• Synchronize physical layouts, logical netlists, and behavioral models
• Develop and maintain photonic LVS decks across foundry technologies
• Design and test device and parameter extraction
• Troubleshoot LVS mismatches in analog and photonic circuits
• Collaborate on tape-outs
• Implement regression testing and CI pipelines
• Contribute to PDK, DRC, and automation projects
