About the Role
You will take end-to-end operational ownership of Upvest's retirement savings account business. You'll build and steer processes across transfers, allowance management, bonus applications, and taxation, while confidently handling edge cases. You'll scale and lead a team through targeted mentoring and hands-on technical guidance, and build trusted relationships with customers' operational units, offering expert support for complex end-user inquiries. You'll continuously optimize workflows using AI and automation solutions in close cross-functional collaboration, ensure smooth daily operations while strictly complying with regulatory requirements and internal policies, and proactively manage risk. You'll also actively contribute to strategic projects and continuously monitor and analyze relevant performance KPIs.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of market rules and current retirement savings products, especially Riester pension
- Several years of relevant professional experience with Riester pension
- Solid knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks and routine in data exchange with the Central Allowance Office for Retirement Assets (ZfA)
- Strong investigative skills to systematically identify and resolve complex error sources
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Reliable and structured working style, even under time pressure and tight deadlines
- Native-level German and fluent business English, written and spoken
- Ability to work both independently and in a team
- Experience in data analysis and process automation is a plus
- Confident use of data visualization tools and programming/scripting languages such as SQL and Python is a plus
- Practical knowledge of workflow automation tools such as n8n and modern AI solutions like Claude or comparable LLMs is a plus
