About the Role
You will manage a technical team developing, integrating, and testing perception algorithms for advanced aerospace, defense, and robotics systems. You will write and validate production C++ software, develop assured position, navigation, and timing capabilities, extend state-estimation frameworks, and test algorithms with simulated and real-world data. You will collaborate with hardware and test teams to validate performance on aerial platforms.
Requirements
- Relevant bachelor's or master's degree or equivalent practical experience
- 10 or more years of related experience
- 2 or more years managing technical teams
- Ability to develop, benchmark, debug, and deploy software-based algorithms
- Experience integrating and working with sensor payloads in the DoD space
- Sensor-fusion expertise for noisy high-bandwidth exteroceptive sensors on compute-constrained systems
- Knowledge of state estimation, object detection, data association, probabilistic robotics, and signal processing
- Experience on projects with 10 or more contributors
- Unix experience
- Ability to obtain a SECRET clearance
Responsibilities
- Lead autonomy, integration, and testing teams
- Write production-quality C++ software
- Develop assured position, navigation, and timing systems for GNSS-degraded or denied environments
- Extend state-estimation frameworks for new sensors, platforms, and missions
- Write test code using simulated and real-world data
- Validate algorithms and code with hardware and test teams on aerial platforms
- Develop analyzers to produce code-quality statistics
- Enhance sensor models in a high-fidelity simulation environment
- Improve analysis and benchmarking capabilities
