About the Role
You will serve as the primary technical resource in data center capacity sales. You will qualify customer requirements, present facility systems, respond to RFPs and RFIs, develop proposal designs and technical materials, coordinate delivery feasibility, and communicate technical trade-offs to customers and internal stakeholders.
Requirements
- 8+ years of mission-critical facility engineering, data center MEP systems, or technical sales engineering experience
- Experience translating complex technical systems for customer technical stakeholders
- Experience responding to and winning complex RFPs involving technical design content
- Experience selling or supporting sales of large-scale or colocation data center capacity
- Experience working with A&E/MEP design firms or an internal design standards function
- Deep knowledge of power, cooling, and electrical systems in mission-critical facilities
- Understanding of compute, networking, chip, and rack architectures
- Familiarity with liquid cooling and high-density rack architectures for AI/HPC workloads
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related engineering discipline
Responsibilities
- Present MEP systems, cooling architecture, electrical topology, and facility design to prospective customers
- Join prospecting and customer design calls to assess technical fit and resolve technical questions
- Translate customer requirements into deliverable capacity and design commitments
- Assess design deviations and coordinate feasibility, cost, and schedule evaluation
- Own technical sections of RFPs and RFIs
- Build conceptual technical designs, capacity models, system diagrams, and reusable proposal content
- Partner with Sales and Development to scope technically deliverable deals
- Coordinate with Design and Engineering, Construction, Power Strategy, Procurement, and Utility Interconnection teams
