About the Role
You will fabricate, assemble, instrument, and test air vehicle systems and prototype hardware. You will install sensors, route cabling, integrate data-acquisition systems, perform mechanical testing, document results, maintain a safe workspace, and manage parts and equipment inventory.
Requirements
- 4–6 years of aircraft or lab maintenance, prototype fabrication, or test-stand design and fabrication experience
- Proficiency in metallic and mechanism fabrication, installation, and removal
- Machine-shop experience with manual or CNC tools
- Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions
- Ability to work in shop and lab environments with noise, dust, and chemicals
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and perform extended physical work
- Ability to obtain a Secret-level security clearance
Responsibilities
- Construct and assemble air vehicle systems and subsystems
- Support product design, prototyping, and fabrication
- Repair aerospace components using industry-standard techniques
- Fabricate fixtures and machine brackets
- Install strain gauges, thermocouples, and sensors
- Route cabling and integrate data-acquisition systems
- Conduct static and dynamic mechanical testing
- Document test outcomes and report anomalies
- Maintain safe and organized shop and lab areas
- Improve instrumentation, testing, and fabrication workflows
- Source and manage repair parts and equipment inventory
