About the Role
You will lead the integration and new-product introduction of HPC hardware platforms. You will bring up systems, evaluate vendors and prototypes, resolve hardware issues, manage readiness risks, review bills of materials, and coordinate engineering, deployment, operations, quality, reliability, and supply-chain work through production delivery.
Requirements
- 5 years of technical-lead experience in hardware new product introduction and deployment for HPC, data center, or cloud infrastructure products.
- Hands-on knowledge of AI or machine-learning hardware, compute systems, storage systems, or network switches.
- Hardware engineering knowledge across electrical, thermal, mechanical, power, signal integrity, safety, compliance, reliability, or manufacturing.
- Ability to work hands-on in labs to enable and bring up hardware systems.
- Experience identifying, triaging, and determining root causes of hardware issues.
- Experience with PLM systems and bill-of-materials structures.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally on production-ready hardware solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead integration of OEM and white-label compute, storage, and network hardware into reference architectures.
- Drive new product introduction for hardware systems, including system bring-up, documentation, vendor engagement, production readiness, and risk closure.
- Identify, debug, and resolve hardware issues during new product introduction and fleet operations.
- Translate platform blueprints into hardware selections and system configurations.
- Partner on vendor evaluation and vendor performance feedback.
- Own hardware platforms through new product introduction and drive readiness issue closure.
- Collaborate with quality and fleet reliability functions to improve product quality and reliability.
- Coordinate delivery, deployment, compatibility, performance, and scalability of new systems.
- Evaluate, enable, and prototype new hardware in labs.
- Review bills of materials for configuration accuracy and component compatibility.
