About the Role
You will design, build, and evolve full-stack systems from technical design through production. You will develop TypeScript and Node.js services and React interfaces, use AI coding tools, own delivery, review and test code, mentor engineers, coordinate cross-service work, participate in on-call support, and address technical debt.
Requirements
- Have 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Demonstrate full-stack experience with backend services and frontend user interfaces
- Use TypeScript and Node.js to build production services
- Use React to build production-facing user interfaces
- Have experience designing and building REST or GraphQL APIs
- Understand relational databases, data modeling, query optimization, and migrations
- Be familiar with event-driven architecture and messaging patterns
- Have experience in a microservices environment
- Use AI-assisted development tools for coding, debugging, and code review
- Understand software design principles and testing strategies
- Have experience writing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
- Be comfortable operating in a cloud environment
- Demonstrate strong communication skills
Responsibilities
- Lead technical design for medium-to-large full-stack features
- Build and maintain TypeScript and Node.js microservices, event handlers, cronjobs, and React user interfaces
- Use AI coding assistants and agentic tools for development, testing, refactoring, and code review
- Break down complex problems and drive delivery through deployment
- Write tested, maintainable code and conduct code reviews
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers
- Coordinate work across service boundaries and contribute to shared services
- Participate in on-call rotations, incident response, and post-incident reviews
- Identify and address technical debt
