About the Role
Build, ship, and operate secure, private, accessible, and reliable iOS and Android applications. Collaborate with backend engineers and UX designers, translate public sector requirements into production deployments, and provide technical guidance on mobile security and operations.
Requirements
- 5+ years building and shipping production mobile applications for iOS and/or Android
- Proficiency in Swift, Kotlin, Flutter, or React Native
- Experience building backend services and integrating APIs
- Strong understanding of mobile security, secure storage, authentication, and encryption
- Experience with Bluetooth or NFC protocols
- Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive mobile design
- Excellent communication and customer-facing delivery skills
- Located in the United States and willing to engage directly with state government partners
- Bonus: experience in regulated environments or public sector delivery
- Bonus: knowledge of OAuth, OpenID Connect, or mDL
- Bonus: experience with CI/CD, automated testing, and mobile deployment
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain mobile applications for iOS and Android
- Integrate mobile applications with backend APIs and services
- Ensure mobile apps meet security, privacy, accessibility, and reliability requirements
- Translate customer and policy requirements into mobile-first implementations
- Collaborate with UX designers to deliver inclusive user experiences
- Support deployments, testing, and operations in production environments
- Provide technical guidance to public sector partners on deployment and security
- Ensure mobile implementations align with digital identity standards
