About the Role
You define and execute validation strategies for rack-level firmware on ARM server platforms. You create automated test frameworks, integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines, validate firmware updates and security features, debug system-level issues, perform root-cause analysis, and collaborate with vendors and platform engineering teams during bring-up and manufacturing ramp.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- 6+ years of experience in firmware or platform validation for server or data center systems
- Experience validating ARM server firmware stacks including UEFI/EDK II and OpenBMC
- Understanding of server architecture, power delivery, thermals, networking, and rack infrastructure
- Experience validating Root of Trust and secure boot
- Familiarity with firmware lifecycle management and update frameworks
- Experience building automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience validating rack-scale firmware platforms
- Experience validating liquid-cooled or high-density server platforms
- Experience building hardware-in-the-loop or rack-level validation environments
- Experience validating PCIe
- Familiarity with JTAG, GDB, and logic analysers
- Experience validating Redfish, PLDM, MCTP, and IPMI
Responsibilities
- Define and execute validation strategies for rack-level firmware
- Develop validation plans and automated test frameworks
- Integrate automated test cases into CI/CD pipelines
- Validate signed updates, redundancy mechanisms, and rollback protection
- Validate Root of Trust, secure boot, and TPM integration
- Perform system-level debugging and root-cause analysis
- Develop automation frameworks and regression testing pipelines
- Collaborate with silicon vendors, ODM partners, and platform engineering teams
