About the Role
You will design and implement firmware for robotic devices, maintain existing firmware, build Linux kernel drivers, configure toolchains and linker scripts, bring up new hardware, integrate communication protocols, and own firmware debugging, testing, documentation, and release.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a related field
- 5+ years of professional firmware development
- Experience developing and deploying real-time firmware on production hardware
- Experience with STM32 and TI MCU families
- Proficiency in C/C++, GCC, GDB, and CMake
- Experience writing Linux kernel drivers as part of custom BSPs
- Understanding of RTOS and bare-metal architectures
- Experience with CAN, EtherCAT, SPI, UART, and I2C
- Firmware debugging and fault-analysis skills
- English communication and documentation skills
Responsibilities
- Design and implement firmware for CiA-profile-based robotic devices
- Maintain, refactor, and improve firmware for robotic devices
- Implement and integrate Linux kernel drivers in a custom BSP
- Design firmware-level error handling, fault reporting, and diagnostics
- Implement real-time firmware architectures
- Configure linker scripts for memory partitioning and task isolation
- Set up and maintain toolchains for MCU targets
- Bring up and validate new hardware with hardware engineers
- Implement and maintain CAN, EtherCAT, SPI, UART, and I2C protocol stacks
- Own firmware debugging, testing, documentation, and release
- Drive firmware architecture decisions and technical alignment
