About the Role
You will develop and maintain low-level firmware for Ethernet MAC, PHY, and SerDes components. You will drive networking silicon bring-up and validation, optimize link-training and auto-negotiation protocols, influence hardware design, and debug hardware-software and signal-integrity issues.
Requirements
- Knowledge of Ethernet MAC, PHY, and PCS hardware
- Bare-metal firmware experience
- Silicon bring-up experience
- Knowledge of link training and auto-negotiation
- Hardware-software debugging skills
- Oscilloscope or logic analyzer experience
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain low-level firmware for Ethernet MAC, PHY, and SerDes components
- Drive silicon bring-up and networking-subsystem validation
- Implement and optimize link-training algorithms and auto-negotiation protocols
- Influence next-generation networking hardware design from a firmware perspective
- Debug hardware-software interactions, signal-integrity issues, and protocol timing bugs
