About the Role
You will lead the design and deployment of electrical manufacturing test solutions for electromechanical and robotic systems. You will develop test fixtures and automated software, perform hardware bring-up and debugging, analyze failures and test data, support manufacturing deployment, define validation strategies, lead technical projects, and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- At least 8 years of hands-on experience in electrical hardware design, manufacturing test engineering, or system validation
- Expertise in schematic capture, PCBA design, and hardware development
- Experience with board bring-up, soldering, rework, and component-level debugging
- Knowledge of analog and digital circuit design, power electronics, signal integrity, grounding, EMI, and protection circuits
- Experience with electrical test instrumentation and manufacturing test fixtures
- Proficiency in Python or similar scripting languages
- Experience supporting manufacturing environments and contract manufacturers
- Knowledge of CAN, UART, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, data logging, and database integration
- Experience leading technical projects and mentoring engineers
Responsibilities
- Design electrical schematics, PCBAs, and interface boards for test fixtures and validation systems
- Lead hardware bring-up, board-level debugging, soldering, and rework
- Develop scalable manufacturing test systems and fixtures
- Develop and maintain automated test software and frameworks
- Perform electrical debugging with test instrumentation
- Support manufacturing deployment, troubleshooting, yield improvement, and failure analysis
- Analyze test data and production failures to improve reliability and test coverage
- Define test strategies, validation plans, and test requirements for new products
- Lead technical projects and mentor junior engineers
