About the Role
You will own board-level electrical hardware from schematic through production. You will improve existing PCB designs, design power and interface circuits, establish validation practices, manage manufacturing and compliance testing, and support hardware-software integration.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field
- 5+ years of professional electrical engineering experience focused on PCB design through production
- Analog and digital circuit design fundamentals
- Experience designing low-voltage power circuits with high-current stages
- KiCad proficiency
- Hands-on validation and debugging experience
- Experience managing contract manufacturers and fab houses through DFM and production
- Ability to own board designs end to end with minimal oversight
- Ability to work on-site in Palo Alto, CA
Responsibilities
- Own the full PCB design lifecycle from schematic capture through production release
- Improve existing schematics, BOMs, and documentation
- Design power stages, sensor interfaces, analog and digital I/O, and galvanic isolation circuits
- Establish validation and test practices
- Manage DFM reviews and relationships with contract manufacturers and fab houses
- Own compliance and EMC testing
- Collaborate on board bring-up and hardware-software integration
- Provide systems guidance on cable harnesses and electrical architecture
