About the Role
You will lead the end-to-end design and manufacturing of critical PCBAs and subsystems. You will select components, capture schematics, lay out boards, bring up and debug prototypes, validate functionality, characterize signals, and collaborate on electromechanical integration. You will also develop test plans and support contract manufacturers during production.
Requirements
- Technical degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 4+ years of professional electrical design experience on a high-volume shipped product
- ECAD experience with Altium Designer, Cadence, or equivalent
- Experience with I2C, SPI, USB, and MIPI
- Experience with component selection, schematic capture, and PCB layout
- Experience verifying and validating electrical-system functional requirements
- Exposure to regulatory certification processes
- Supply chain management and PCBA contract manufacturing experience
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end design and manufacturing of critical PCBAs
- Design and prototype subsystems
- Select components and capture schematics
- Bring up and debug prototypes
- Track hardware bugs, verify functionality, and characterize signals
- Lay out PCB assemblies
- Collaborate on electromechanical integration
- Develop specifications and accelerated lifetime test plans
- Work with contract manufacturers to ensure proper production of PCBAs and subassemblies
