About the Role

Build and lead a dedicated Security Engineering team securing Ripple's products, infrastructure, and corporate IT systems. Define security strategy, embed security across the technology stack, and ensure AI tooling and agentic workflows are secure, controlled, and auditable.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of security engineering experience, including 5+ years in leadership or management.
  • Hands-on expertise in AI security, including LLMs, AI agents, AI-assisted development workflows, and guardrails.
  • Expert-level security architecture knowledge across AWS, GCP, Azure, application stacks, and network security.
  • Strong understanding of cryptography, secure coding, and web and blockchain vulnerabilities such as OWASP Top 10.
  • Experience with OAuth, SAML, and OIDC authentication and authorization standards.
  • Expertise in endpoint protection, network security, IAM, and corporate security policy enforcement.
  • Hands-on threat modeling and risk identification experience.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts and security risks to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience fostering security culture and leading high-performing security teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills for complex security challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Set the strategic vision and roadmap for product, infrastructure, IT, and AI security.
  • Serve as a security domain expert for senior leadership, engineering teams, and partners.
  • Define guardrails, scope boundaries, blast-radius limits, and rollback mechanisms for AI agents and tools.
  • Implement agentic SDLC guardrails, testing gates, and human oversight for AI-assisted development.
  • Lead, mentor, and strengthen the security engineering team.
  • Drive security guidelines across the engineering organization.
  • Lead security architecture reviews for products, infrastructure changes, and engineering initiatives.
  • Own vulnerability management, penetration testing coordination, remediation prioritization, and risk closure.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and IT leadership on security priorities and customer outcomes.
