About the Role
You will design, scale, and maintain resilient, highly available cloud infrastructure. You will optimize CI/CD pipelines, establish infrastructure-as-code standards, implement observability systems, automate security and compliance controls, build self-service developer tooling, and mentor engineers. You will also participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota.
Requirements
- Extensive DevOps or cloud engineering experience operating and scaling production systems
- Expertise with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
- Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience designing automated pipelines with GitHub Actions or ArgoCD
- Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or OpenSearch
- Scripting proficiency in Python, Bash, or Go
- Understanding of cloud security, network architecture, permissions segregation, and secrets management
- Availability to participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota
Responsibilities
- Design, provision, and maintain secure, scalable, multi-region cloud infrastructure
- Architect, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated releases
- Implement monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting systems
- Embed DevSecOps practices, security controls, compliance checks, and access management
- Build and maintain developer platforms and self-service tooling
- Champion operational excellence and automation
- Provide guidance and mentorship to engineers
- Participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota
