About the Role
You will build, evolve, and maintain scalable data pipelines in AWS. You will develop ETL and ELT processes, work with data lakes, integrate relational and non-relational sources, and ensure performance, reliability, observability, governance, quality, and security. You will participate in data modeling and scalable architecture decisions, partner with business and technology stakeholders, define technical standards, and act as a technical reference while supporting less experienced professionals.
Requirements
- Solid experience in data engineering
- Practical experience with AWS data and distributed processing services
- Experience building and orchestrating data pipelines
- Knowledge of data lakes ETL ELT and data modeling
- Experience processing data with Spark
- Knowledge of event-driven architecture AWS Lambda and EventBridge
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases
- Knowledge of data governance quality and security practices
- Ability to work autonomously in complex environments with high executive exposure
- Strong communication and stakeholder interaction skills
- AWS certifications are a differentiator
- Experience with large-scale data architecture is a differentiator
- Knowledge of MongoDB and other NoSQL technologies is a differentiator
- Experience with unstructured data is a differentiator
- Experience in highly regulated governance-oriented environments is a differentiator
- Knowledge of analytics engineering is a differentiator
Responsibilities
- Build evolve and maintain AWS data pipelines
- Develop ETL and ELT ingestion transformation and data delivery processes
- Work with data lakes and modern data architectures
- Ensure data performance reliability observability governance quality and security
- Integrate different data sources and systems
- Participate in data modeling and scalable architecture definition
- Partner with business analytics and technology stakeholders
- Define technical standards best practices and team guidelines
- Act as a technical reference in data engineering
