About the Role
You will own data pipelines from source systems to the warehouse and modeled data products. You will build tested transformations, improve data quality and observability, optimize warehouse performance, manage infrastructure as code, resolve incidents, and evaluate AI-assisted work.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- 3+ years of data engineering experience in cloud environments
- Python
- Advanced SQL
- Modern MPP or OLAP warehouse experience
- Pipeline orchestration experience
- Analytics engineering experience with dbt or equivalent
- Production monitoring and incident-response experience
- Experience critically evaluating AI-assisted output
- Written communication
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end batch and near-real-time data pipelines
- Build documented, modeled, and tested data products
- Implement data-quality tests, monitoring, lineage, and alerting
- Optimize warehouse cost and performance
- Debug production data incidents and verify downstream impact
- Manage AWS and Snowflake infrastructure with Terraform
- Delegate, verify, and improve AI-agent work
- Translate business questions into maintained data systems
