About the Role
You will shape and execute jurisdiction-specific legal strategies to enable market entry across LATAM. You will assess regulatory, privacy, financial, labor, and commercial risks; manage and instruct local counsel; coordinate with product, compliance, operations, and government relations; secure necessary licenses and registrations; and produce clear, actionable legal advice for rollout and ongoing compliance.
Requirements
- 7+ years of post law school experience as an attorney
- BigLaw experience and/or experience at fast paced startups
- Qualified lawyer in good standing with eligibility to practice in LATAM
- Experience supporting multi jurisdictional legal challenges
- Experience developing legal support for international growth and market entry
- Proven track record in licensing efforts and launching new operations or products internationally
- Ability to manage local counsel and cross functional stakeholders
- Demonstrated judgment practicality resourcefulness proactivity and attention to detail
- Demonstrated interest in blockchain Web3 cryptocurrency and digital assets
- Fluency in English and ability to travel regularly preferred
Responsibilities
- Develop and lead legal strategy for jurisdiction by jurisdiction market entry
- Assess regulatory and legal requirements including financial regulation privacy labor and commercial law
- Manage and instruct local counsel to obtain clear actionable input
- Coordinate with product compliance economics logistics communications and government relations
- Ensure necessary licenses permits and registrations are obtained before market entry
- Monitor local law changes and maintain ongoing compliance in jurisdictions
- Prepare consistent messaging and materials for stakeholders authorities local courts and users
- Provide practical cross functional advice that integrates product economics trust and safety and policy
- Contribute proactively to Legal team planning cohesion and operational efficiency
