About the Role
You will establish component-engineering processes, tools, and standards. You will define EEE component quality requirements, qualify parts for aerospace use, govern component data in PLM and ECAD libraries, investigate failures, manage lifecycle changes, evaluate alternate parts, and resolve supplier technical questions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, or materials science
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of EEE components
- Understanding of product lifecycle management, ECAD tools, and structured component libraries
- Judgment balancing performance, cost, and supply-chain risk
- Ability to lead technical discussions and influence design decisions across engineering, supply chain, and program teams
Responsibilities
- Establish and scale component-engineering processes, tools, and standards
- Define quality and certification requirements for EEE components
- Qualify and up-screen EEE components for aerospace applications
- Own component data and governance in PLM and ECAD part libraries
- Contribute to component failure analysis and root-cause efforts
- Monitor PCNs and lifecycle changes and drive mitigation actions
- Support alternate-part evaluations and second-sourcing strategies
- Resolve technical questions with suppliers
