About the Role
You will design, develop, manage, and maintain cloud platforms and services for enterprise use. You will lead Kubernetes and cloud-native initiatives, provide Level 3 support, build scalable infrastructure, guide technical solutions, investigate system problems, and mentor junior cloud engineers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience designing cloud solutions on Azure, AWS, or GCP
- 5+ years of experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- 5+ years of experience using CI/CD tools
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Terraform, Helm, or Kustomize
- Experience delivering enterprise systems across multiple teams
- Full stack product development experience
- Experience leading small technical teams in delivering production solutions
- Knowledge of software design patterns, infrastructure architecture, DevOps, and security
- Experience with relational databases
- Understanding of cloud security, networking, workload identity, policy-as-code, and secrets management
- Experience with Kubernetes or containerized applications
- Google Professional Cloud Architect certification is an asset
- Experience within Canadian financial institutions is a benefit
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering, or mathematics
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, manage, and maintain cloud platforms, services, and components
- Serve as a senior technical leader and subject-matter expert for Kubernetes and cloud-native systems
- Provide Level 3 support
- Own enterprise cloud products or complex product components
- Lead design discussions focused on security, scalability, and implementation best practices
- Build and operate highly available and scalable software and infrastructure
- Collaborate with lead engineers and architects on solution design and task estimation
- Participate in planning, retrospectives, and stand-ups
- Mentor and support junior and emerging cloud engineers
- Write and maintain documentation
- Investigate, analyze, and resolve system problems
