About the Role

Build and maintain scalable production services, implement micro- and nano-second performance monitoring, design high-throughput systems, operate Unix-based infrastructure and cloud deployments, and drive engineering initiatives from specification through long-term maintenance.

Requirements

• 3+ years building and maintaining production-grade software systems
• 3+ years experience with Unix systems
• Experience with Rust or other statically typed languages
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS
• Ability to make engineering decisions informed by business context
• High agency, willingness to learn unfamiliar areas, and a team-first attitude
• Passion for decentralized finance
• Preferred: blockchain experience, specifically Solana
• Preferred: quant trading experience

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable production services
• Implement performance monitoring at micro- and nano-second granularity
• Drive engineering initiatives from specification through architecture, implementation, testing, monitoring, and maintenance
• Design system architecture for high-throughput, low-latency systems
• Develop realtime data indexing systems at scale
• Operate Unix systems and manage cloud infrastructure
• Write high-quality, well-documented production code
• Set up testing, monitoring, and observability for production services
