About the Role
You will investigate cryptocurrency sanctions alerts, assess blockchain transactions and wallet activity, review sanctions-list matches, escalate potential violations, and prepare investigative documentation. You will also monitor emerging risks, improve workflows, and support audits and regulatory examinations.
Requirements
- 3+ years of financial crimes, sanctions investigations, AML compliance, or related experience
- Cryptocurrency transaction-investigation experience
- Knowledge of blockchain technology, digital assets, wallets, and transaction flows
- Experience with TRM Labs, Chainalysis, Elliptic, or comparable blockchain analytics platforms
- Understanding of OFAC sanctions regulations and sanctions evasion methodologies
- Complex-investigation and documentation experience
- Analytical, critical-thinking, written, and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities
- Investigate cryptocurrency-related sanctions alerts
- Evaluate sanctions exposure using blockchain analytics
- Review and disposition OFAC and other sanctions-list matches
- Escalate potential sanctions violations
- Prepare investigative narratives and recommendations
- Monitor sanctions risks and illicit-finance typologies
- Improve investigative workflows and screening effectiveness
- Support audits, examinations, and reporting
