About the Role

You will design, fabricate, instrument, and operate electromechanical test rigs that reproduce real-world failures. You will build accelerated tests, integrate actuators, drivers, sensors, and data acquisition, automate testing and logging, support failure analysis, document test equipment, and scale the reliability lab.

Requirements

• Technical degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a related hardware discipline
• 2+ years of hardware design engineering experience
• Ability to build, fabricate, and rapidly iterate physical prototypes and test setups
• Proficiency in CAD
• Experience with actuators, motor control, sensors, circuit work, data acquisition, and instrumentation
• Working proficiency in Python or another scripting language for test automation and data handling

Responsibilities

• Design, fabricate, and iterate electromechanical test rigs, fixtures, and automated test setups
• Build accelerated life, fatigue, vibration, shock, temperature, and humidity tests
• Integrate actuators, motor drivers, sensors, data acquisition, and instrumentation into test setups
• Write scripts for automated test execution and data logging
• Translate physics-of-failure and field insights into representative test methods
• Support root-cause failure analysis with apparatus and experiments
• Create and maintain CAD models, drawings, and documentation for test equipment
• Scale and maintain the reliability lab
• Work with mechanical, electrical, software, quality, production, and supply-chain teams to resolve failures
