About the Role
You will manage end-to-end server onboarding, from initial imaging and firmware updates through validation and handoff. You will build automation scripts and provisioning pipelines, monitor onboarding metrics, document repeatable workflows, and support server migrations and repurposing. You will coordinate assignments with internal stakeholders and work with hardware personnel when physical coordination is needed.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in Linux systems administration, deployment automation, or infrastructure operations
- Bash scripting experience
- Experience with Ansible or Puppet
- Understanding of Linux networking, storage, boot processes, and command-line tooling
- Experience working in high-volume deployment environments with remote hands support
- Organizational and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Ability to work during rapid scaling and high-throughput periods
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
Responsibilities
- Execute end-to-end server onboarding, including initial imaging and bundled firmware updates
- Provision new servers in response to capacity requirements
- Perform post-onboarding validation and hand off servers to the Platform team
- Coordinate new assignments with Sales, Customer Success, and Solutions Engineering
- Build and improve automation scripts and provisioning pipelines
- Track onboarding metrics, identify bottlenecks, and drive improvements
- Support server repurposing and migration activities
- Maintain provisioning documentation and runbooks
- Collaborate with the Hardware team on physical onboarding coordination
- Optimize processes to support increasing onboarding volume
