About the Role
You will design, fabricate, assemble, and maintain propulsion test setups and instrumentation. You will develop test plans and procedures, execute and monitor tests, support avionics and electrical integration, analyze results, document findings, and work with engineering disciplines on R&D test campaigns.
Requirements
- Experience designing or executing engineering test setups, fixtures, and test campaigns
- Ability to self-direct test planning and execution
- Hands-on hardware or avionics fabrication experience
- Proficiency with precision tools, calibrated measurement equipment, power tools, thread specifications, and torque procedures
- Ability to work in shop and lab environments with noise, dust, and chemicals
- Ability to lift and move parts and equipment up to 50 pounds and perform extended physical work
Responsibilities
- Design, fabricate, assemble, and maintain propulsion test setups, fixtures, and instrumentation
- Develop and execute propulsion test plans
- Define and document test procedures and work instructions
- Fabricate mechanical and electrical test hardware
- Conduct and monitor propulsion-system and piston engine/propeller tests
- Operate and maintain instrumentation, data-acquisition systems, and calibration tools
- Support avionics integration, wire-harness fabrication, and electrical testing
- Analyze test data and document findings
- Support cross-functional R&D test campaigns
- Ensure accurate and repeatable test results and reports
