About the Role
Lead health, safety, and environmental programs for hyperscale data center construction projects, overseeing high-risk site activities, contractor safety performance, incident tracking, electrical commissioning safety, audits, safety meetings, and emergency response procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in heavy industrial construction safety
- Current OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification or OSHA 510
- First Aid, CPR, and AED certification
- Deep working knowledge of OSHA construction regulations and NFPA 70E
- Ability to influence site leadership and manage safety performance under aggressive project timelines
- Ability to work full-time on active construction sites, walk long distances, climb ladders, and work outdoors in varying conditions
- Participation in a drug and alcohol program
Responsibilities
- Own site-wide health, safety, and environmental programs for hyperscale data center construction projects
- Perform daily walkthroughs of high-risk activities including trenching, crane operations, scaffolding, and heavy equipment
- Partner with prime contractors to implement safety programs and deliver required materials
- Track and report incident rates, near misses, and leading safety indicators
- Lead safety oversight during transitions to live power environments
- Audit prime contractor safety programs and lead weekly safety leadership meetings
- Establish and maintain emergency response plans, evacuation routes, and medical response procedures
