About the Role
You will carry the network on-call pager and manage repairs from diagnosis through RMA and return to service. You will build Python and Go tooling for diagnostics, remote command execution, and repair visualization. You will automate repair workflows, maintain monitoring and alerting, and qualify new sites and hardware before they carry traffic.
Requirements
- Production network on-call and outage-response experience
- Python or Go scripting experience for network automation
- Knowledge of link diagnostics, optics, and network monitoring protocols
- Knowledge of gNMI, gRPC, NETCONF, and SONiC
- Switch and router CLI experience
- Ability to distinguish transceiver faults, routing misconfigurations, and power events from operational signals
Responsibilities
- Carry the on-call pager and diagnose, repair, or drive RMA for network faults
- Write Python and Go tooling for network diagnostics, remote command execution, and repair visualization
- Automate repair workflows from fault detection through RMA, ticketing, optics tracking, and return to service
- Maintain real-time network monitoring and alerting across sites
- Validate new sites and hardware through production qualification testing
