  • B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent engineering experience
  • 8+ years in aerospace mechanical design or structural engineering with hands-on responsibility on new-build or modification aircraft programs
  • Hands-on CAD skills and fluency with mechanical engineering toolchains, including PLM/PDM and finite-element modeling
  • Command of aircraft structures, GD&T, metrology, tolerance stack-ups, and design conventions
  • Experience developing, validating, and formally qualifying analytical methods, design tools, or engineering approaches
  • Fluency in the aircraft development lifecycle, including requirements, design, SRR, SDR, PDR, and CDR
  • Ability to scope technical work, make tradeoffs, and deliver to a schedule

  • Qualification as a U.S. person for access to export-controlled technical data, U.S. Government systems, and customer facilities

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on aircraft engineering support through CAD model review, drawing and scan-data interpretation, and assessment of geometry, tolerances, materials, and design intent
  • Translate customer requirements, technical standards, and work instructions into engineering and software requirements
  • Own technical work packages, including scope, schedule, risk, and quality
  • Coordinate with software and delivery leads and partner with forward-deployed engineers to develop and validate tools and workflows
  • Develop and qualify analytical methodologies, design tools, and engineering toolchains
  • Lead technical reviews and develop evidence supporting method and tool acceptance
  • Lead technical discussions with customer engineering and sustainment teams, primes, and program offices
  • Use customer feedback and delivery experience to shape product priorities and follow-on work
  • Support aerospace product and go-to-market efforts through technical discovery, concepts, demonstrations, and proposals
