About the Role

You'll join the Financial Data Team as a Product Manager specializing in Taxonomy. You'll take ownership of the structured financial data taxonomy library, including client-facing labels, metric definitions, and dataset classifications, while ensuring backwards compatibility and future-proofing. You'll define naming standards and governance principles that scale across a growing range of data types so clients can easily discover and understand the data. You'll work closely with engineering, data, product, sales, and client-facing teams to align on taxonomy decisions and turn conceptual frameworks into scalable, production-ready systems. As the internal subject matter expert on data semantics, you'll maintain clear documentation for internal and external audiences. You'll proactively spot gaps and inconsistencies as new datasets are onboarded and drive structured resolution. You'll also design taxonomy and data structures with AI and LLM compatibility in mind, and lay the groundwork for a future taxonomy practice that can grow into a larger team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a highly analytical field such as Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related discipline
  • 5+ years of experience working with data structures, taxonomy, or data governance

  • Genuine interest in financial data and capital markets
