About the Role
You own the product strategy and roadmap for authentication, authorization, and identity across a large application ecosystem. You define standards-based identity primitives, shape experiences for builders and end users, support programmatic access through APIs and developer tools, and determine how AI agents authenticate and act on behalf of users.
Requirements
- Significant experience owning technically complex products
- Experience with identity, authentication, authorization, developer platforms, or infrastructure
- Knowledge of OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML, SCIM, passkeys, service accounts, roles, permissions, and policy-based access control
- Technical fluency with platform architecture, APIs, data models, security boundaries, and identity protocols
- Strong product sense and systems thinking
- Exceptional communication skills and judgment
Responsibilities
- Represent identity users and understand their needs
- Own the product strategy and roadmap for authentication, authorization, and identity
- Define standards-based primitives for users, organizations, agents, roles, permissions, policies, sessions, and delegated access
- Shape identity experiences for builders and application users
- Partner with engineering to balance individual builder and enterprise needs
- Define how AI agents authenticate and receive authority
- Own programmatic identity access across API, CLI, SDK, and MCP surfaces
- Deliver a multi-tenant identity service built on open standards
