About the Role
Antimetal is seeking a Product Engineer - Agents to build agentic workflows, retrieval systems, APIs, data pipelines, and user interfaces for AI-powered infrastructure products.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in full-stack, product, or AI engineering roles.
- Production experience with LLMs or agent-based systems.
- Experience with orchestration, prompting, tool use, and retrieval.
- Strong experience with TypeScript, React, Postgres, and NestJS.
- Understanding of AI production concerns including evaluations, latency, error handling, and streaming.
- Experience owning projects end-to-end in a startup environment.
- Strong product thinking, problem-solving, and maintainable, scalable software development skills.
- Experience aligning cross-functional teams and owning ambiguous initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Design and build agentic workflows for production incidents.
- Engineer context and retrieval systems using semantic search, keyword search, APIs, and SQL.
- Ship end-to-end product features from backend data models to React interfaces.
- Partner with platform and research teams to bring AI capabilities into customer-facing products.
- Own ambiguous projects, break them into milestones, and orchestrate delivery.
- Work directly with customers to refine features and validate product fit.
