About Antimetal
Antimetal is building the autonomous layer between engineering teams and their running production systems. At its core is a live world model, a continuous understanding of how a company's stack behaves, built by connecting to existing observability, infrastructure, and code tools. On top of this world model sits an army of specialized agents (Proactive Patrol, Reactive Triage, Intelligence World Model, and an Agent Builder platform) that investigate incidents, trace failures, identify root causes, propose fixes, open pull requests, and carry out operational workflows on behalf of engineering teams. Unlike traditional observability tools that surface data for humans to interpret, or coding agents that only generate code, Antimetal aims to continuously investigate, operate, and improve production itself, while routing changes through existing approval flows such as pull requests or Slack approvals. The company serves software engineering teams, is SOC 2, GDPR, and HIPAA compliant, and is built in NYC.

About the Role
You'll build the core product powered by Antimetal's AI agent, working across the entire stack—from agent orchestration and data pipelines to APIs and user interfaces—to bring insights to users. You'll partner closely with the platform and research teams, turn experiments into production-ready features, and take ownership of ambiguous projects end-to-end. You'll also work directly with customers to refine features and validate product fit.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in full-stack, product, or AI engineering roles
- Production experience with LLMs or agent-based systems: orchestration, prompting, tool use, retrieval
- Strong experience in Typescript, React, Postgres, and NestJS
- Comfort with the realities of AI in production: evaluations, latency, error handling, streaming
- Experience owning projects end-to-end in a startup environment
- History of pushing product thinking: designing not just code, but features customers love
- Experience owning ambiguous initiatives and aligning cross-functional teams (design, platform, research)
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on creating highly maintainable, scalable code
Responsibilities
- Design and build agentic workflows for production incidents: orchestration, prompting, tool use, and evaluation
- Engineer context and retrieval systems that surface the right information at the right time (semantic search, keyword, API, SQL)
- Ship product features end-to-end, from backend data models to React interfaces
- Partner closely with platform and research to bring AI capabilities into customer-facing product
- Take ownership of ambiguous projects, breaking them into milestones and orchestrating delivery
- Work directly with customers to refine features and validate product fit
