About the Role
You will lead and own all product design at thirdweb, working closely with a small team of product owners and engineers to build excellent developer experiences. You'll define product direction and champion a cohesive design philosophy across the org. You'll create and maintain a consistent style guide and visual iconography, and identify user experience pain points to develop elegant solutions that meet customer needs. You'll collaborate with product management and engineering teams, brainstorm solutions to customer challenges, and communicate directly with customers to help them integrate thirdweb into their applications. You'll also mentor and lead a small team of designers, provide feedback, and stay on top of the latest web3 trends, UI/UX best practices, and the competitive landscape.
Requirements
- 5+ years experience on a product design team for developer-focused applications, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Deep experience with the latest design tools like Figma and a strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in designing complex applications
- Executive presence and the ability to collaborate with high level leaders
- Ability to roll up your sleeves and solve complex UX challenges
- Obsessed with all things web3
- Curious about knowledge outside of direct expertise with an appetite for learning
- A self-starter in proposing and carrying out solutions to ambiguous user experience problems
- Knowing when and how to make calculated tradeoffs to meet the needs of the customer and business
Responsibilities
- Lead product design for the entire thirdweb product stack
- Own the overall design philosophy and approach and champion it across the org
- Collaborate closely with product management and engineering teams to define product direction and user experiences
- Identify user experience pain points across the user base and develop elegant solutions
- Create and maintain a cohesive style guide and ensure a consistent design language is applied across the product
- Develop visual iconography to enrich the product experience
- Collaborate with the team to brainstorm solutions to customer challenges, plan new features, and extract learnings from misses
- Communicate with customers to assist in integrating thirdweb into their application or platform
- Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in web3, UI/UX best practices, and the competitive landscape
- Mentor and lead a small team of designers, provide feedback and foster a creative and collaborative work environment
