About the Role
You will develop and optimize real-time algorithms that process and fuse sensor data for autonomous aircraft. You will build sensor-processing pipelines, integrate state-estimation software with engineering teams, validate performance through experiments and field tests, and apply advances in sensing and estimation.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree, 4 years with a master's degree, or 2 years with a PhD
- Experience developing and deploying real-time sensor-processing algorithms
- Knowledge of state-estimation techniques including Kalman and particle filters
- Experience with C++11 or newer
- Experience with Linux and command-line tools
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders
- Record of shipping products
- Ability to obtain an S//SAR security clearance desired
Responsibilities
- Develop sensor algorithms for IMUs, radar, cameras, GPS, and other sensors
- Integrate multisensor data to improve state-estimation accuracy and robustness
- Design and implement real-time sensor data-processing pipelines
- Integrate state-estimation algorithms with software, autonomy, and hardware systems
- Conduct experiments and field tests to validate algorithm performance
- Apply advances in sensor technology and state estimation
