About the Role
You will lead the design, development, and high-quality release of mission-critical SIEM platform features. You will define technical vision and strategy, make cross-functional technical decisions, improve system performance and observability, develop engineering practices, and mentor engineers. You will also build AI-assisted development workflows, collaborate on strategic designs, and ensure scalable, secure, well-tested software delivery.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience developing complex software products
- 8+ years of Ruby on Rails programming experience
- 8+ years scaling Postgres databases
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent work experience
- Experience with modern data storage and query systems for high-volume analytics workloads
- Experience in an Agile or Scrum environment
- Experience with JavaScript and CSS
- Experience reviewing code, problem-solving, and technical troubleshooting
- Deep understanding of ActiveRecord
- Technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to communicate complex technical topics to non-technical audiences
- Ability to work cross-functionally across multiple teams
Responsibilities
- Own the delivery, quality, uptime, and performance of mission-critical features and systems
- Lead technical decisions and strategic initiatives with company-wide impact
- Define long-term technical goals and communicate technical vision
- Collaborate with engineering, product, security research, platform, and architecture stakeholders
- Develop and enforce engineering best practices
- Design and optimize AI-assisted engineering workflows
- Build and evolve AI tooling for daily development workflows
- Improve test frameworks, testing approaches, code quality, and test coverage
- Lead scalable software design, architecture, and development
- Improve system visibility through monitoring and alerting
- Manage the full system lifecycle, including evolution, configuration, and risk management
- Lead estimation and timely delivery of work
- Mentor and coach junior engineers
- Engage with customers as necessary
