About the Role

You will own and evolve the architecture of MetaMask Mobile (React Native and native modules). You will design and steward core platform systems such as OTA, analytics, data persistence, and auth, and lead large upgrades and migrations. You will drive performance and stability improvements, reduce release and operational toil through automation, integrate AI/LLM tools into developer workflows, define app health metrics and dashboards, and mentor senior engineers while leading architecture and design reviews.

Requirements

• 10+ years building and scaling mobile apps including ownership of large production React Native or hybrid platforms
• Prior Staff or Principal level impact leading complex cross-team technical initiatives
• Deep expertise with React Native architecture performance debugging and bridging
• Solid experience with native iOS (Swift SwiftUI) and/or Android (Kotlin Jetpack) including native modules and performance tuning
• Strong understanding of mobile CI/CD release engineering and OTA systems
• Track record building internal platforms shared libraries or tooling for other engineers
• Experience mentoring senior engineers and shaping technical culture
• Experience or strong interest in using AI and LLMs to improve developer productivity and code quality

Responsibilities

• Own mobile platform architecture
• Define and evolve React Native and native architecture
• Design and steward core platform systems including OTA analytics data persistence and auth
• Lead cross-team initiatives and large upgrades or migrations
• Improve app performance and stability including startup time crash rate ANRs memory usage and bundle size
• Break large efforts into incremental shippable milestones
• Elevate developer experience and automate build test and release workflows
• Establish patterns for navigation state management and platform primitives
• Integrate AI and LLMs into developer tooling and workflows
• Define metrics and dashboards for performance stability and efficiency
• Provide mentorship and lead architecture and design reviews
