About the Role
You will design, execute, and analyze computational experiments and lead an independent research project. You will develop machine-learning models for biology, publish and present your work, mentor trainees, maintain coding standards and documentation, and contribute to software and shared infrastructure.
Requirements
- PhD in computer science, bioinformatics, computational biology, or genetics/genomics
- Expertise with Python, bash, and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Track record of creative, high-impact research
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and analyze computational experiments
- Lead an end-to-end research project
- Develop machine-learning models for biological understanding and design
- Publish first-author papers and present at conferences
- Mentor and train research associates, technicians, and students
