About the Role

You will manage the people platform, payroll operations, employee data, benefits, onboarding, and offboarding. You will lead new-hire orientation, complete I-9 and E-Verify documentation, maintain audit-ready records, support payroll tax registrations, create reports, and answer employee questions about payroll, benefits, and people systems.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in HR operations, payroll, or people systems
  • Hands-on experience with Rippling or a similar HRIS such as ADP, Gusto, or Paylocity
  • Experience running new-hire onboarding and orientation
  • Working knowledge of I-9 and E-Verify requirements
  • Working knowledge of payroll operations and payroll tax registrations
  • Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills, including lookups, pivot tables, and reconciliations
  • Sound judgment and discretion with confidential employee and compensation data
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer-service skills

Responsibilities

  • Own Rippling as the people platform, maintaining accurate HR, payroll, benefits, and employee data
  • Manage Rippling cases through resolution and keep stakeholders informed
  • Run payroll operations accurately and on time
  • Manage payroll tax registrations and agency notices
  • Own the new-hire onboarding experience from offer acceptance through the first 30 days
  • Lead new-hire orientation
  • Design first-week experiences and role-specific onboarding plans
  • Complete I-9 and E-Verify requirements and maintain audit-ready onboarding documentation
  • Manage offboarding through the final paycheck
  • Audit employee data and build headcount, audit, and leadership reports
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee payroll, benefits, and people-systems questions
  • Support ad hoc People and Talent projects
