About the Role
You will serve as the on-site Tier 3 escalation point for network and structured-cabling incidents. You will troubleshoot physical-layer faults, validate repairs, document escalations, and coordinate with Network Operations to restore customer connectivity.
Requirements
- Experience as an on-site network or cable-plant specialist in a data center
- Deep knowledge of structured cabling and fiber testing, termination, and fault isolation
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, switching, and optics
- Ability to operate as the sole on-site escalation resource
- Rigorous documentation skills
Responsibilities
- Serve as the on-site Tier 3 escalation point for network and structured-cabling incidents
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve physical-layer faults
- Validate repairs and drive rapid resolution of issues affecting customer workloads
- Escalate out-of-scope issues with clear documentation and retain ownership through resolution
- Own structured cabling and fiber infrastructure
