About the Role
You will own carrier, dark-fiber, internet-exchange, and cloud-interconnect connectivity. You will plan backbone capacity, negotiate technical terms with providers, and develop a connectivity roadmap covering diversity, latency, cost, and service-level escalation.
Requirements
- Engineer carrier and long-haul connectivity at scale
- Procure dark-fiber and lit services
- Plan capacity using data
- Manage carrier SLAs and escalation paths
- Apply long-haul, subsea-system, DWDM, peering-strategy, or fiber-route-analysis knowledge
Responsibilities
- Own external connectivity across carriers, dark fiber, internet exchanges, and cloud interconnects
- Plan backbone capacity between sites
