About the Role
You will build and operate cell-based, multi-region infrastructure for live phone calls. You will develop Go control-plane services, manage Kubernetes and stateful data systems, improve reliability and capacity, and establish infrastructure standards through runbooks, failure-domain models, and design reviews.
Requirements
- Production experience operating multi-cluster Kubernetes on EKS
- Experience with programmatic cluster creation using Cluster API or similar tools
- Experience operating stateful data platforms at scale, including Postgres, Redis, Kafka, Temporal, etcd, or ClickHouse
- Fluency in Envoy and Cilium/eBPF
- Production experience operating multi-region Kafka on MSK
- Go development experience for control-plane services
Responsibilities
- Build and operate multi-cluster Kubernetes infrastructure on EKS
- Develop Go control-plane services
- Own a core infrastructure domain such as multi-region Kafka, Postgres consolidation, or cluster creation
- Lead cell-based infrastructure roadmap initiatives
- Improve reliability and capacity
- Create runbooks, failure-domain models, and capacity targets
